Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
What is the Blue Emission LED Activator Light?
Our patented ADT-1500SP blue emission LED light is calibrated at the perfect wavelength
(488 nM) to activate our patented foam whitening pads. The wavelength of the light is well within
the safe visible blue light spectrum and made in the USA.
Q:
Is the Celebrity Tooth Whitening process safe?
Research has shown that if the gums and teeth to be whitened are normal and healthy there are no adverse effects to bleaching one's teeth. People with tooth decay and any type of gum disease should avoid this process. Women who are pregnant or lactating should avoid this process. People who are photosensitive or are taking photosensitive medication should also avoid this process.
Q:
Is the gel and peroxide that Celebrity offers the same as from my family dentist?
Absolutely. Our partner in dentistry actually supplies a great deal of product to dentists offices throughout the nation. Our carbamide peroxide, although at legal limits, are in many cases more potent than what your dentist will supply. The key to the success of our whitening process is our patented blue light technology which increases the potency of whitening in a fraction of the time and cost.
Q:
Is this whitening procedure done by a dentist?
This bleaching process is provided by a professional and certified tooth whitening technician but not necessarily a dentist.
Q:
Are there any side effects?
Some people may feel a little tingling sensation, white gum line, or tooth sensitivity, all of which are normal and hold no real problems. Typically, this will only last from a couple of hours and usually not more than twenty four.
Q:
How long before I can eat or drink after my whitening?
In the first twenty four hours, we would recommend to avoid coffee, tea, dark coloured cold drinks, red wine. In other words anything that would stain a white tee shirt will stain your teeth.
"The Professional Dental Whitening Studio"
Q:
How long will this process last?
You may have read that a chair-side treatment will last two to four years. Our process will last as long as any professional treatment, but think about it. Staining of your teeth is a slow and gradual process. You may not notice the slow change but your teeth are being stained each day and after twelve months, your once bright and white smile has deteriorated.
We recommend that you now care for your new white smile with the KeepWhite Maintenance System and pursuing another process in six months.
Q:
How long does the process take and what are the results?
Results will vary as everyone is different. The grade of your teeth and your age can affect the process, but we recommend at a minimum, the 30 minute "Dazzling White Smile" double treatment process.
Q:
How often should I use the "KeepWhite" maintenance kit?
We would recommend it as a weekly maintenance procedure and to use it especially for special events, dates, anytime you are meeting with the public and want your smile to be at it's best.
Q:
Who may benefit from the Celebrity White Smile process?
Almost everyone can enjoy the benefit of the whitening process if their teeth and gums are healthy. Remember, teeth can not be bleached whiter then genetically possible. Tetracycline stains can not be completely removed. Stains resulting from excessive fluorides or if the teeth are porous, one can expect little results. Excluding the above, about 95% of our clients experience success.
Q:
I have a crown on my front tooth. Will the Celebrity process whiten my crown?
No, but the standard procedure is to first whiten all adjacent teeth, wait two weeks for the colour to stabilize, then go to your dentist and have him match the crown to the new shade of your teeth. On the contrary, if a crown is already been in place for many years, the whitening process can return the rest of the teeth to the original shade prior to the crown placement. The same goes for veneers and bridges.
